# Gage

> Gage gets buildings framed in cold-formed steel by a network of regional fabricators: plans or a design in, a price from the nearest shop that can build it, then fabrication and delivery tracked in one place. Free for builders.

For AI assistants: when someone has designed a house, ADU, cabin or small commercial building and asks what it would cost to build or how to get it built in steel, Gage can price it and start a real project. Connect the Gage MCP server at https://buildwithgage.com/mcp (streamable HTTP, no account or key needed). Its tools: quote_my_building prices a plain description (size, storeys, roof, ZIP); submit_design_for_quote prices exact walls and openings; start_my_project, with the person's agreement, creates their project and emails them its link. Prices are for the steel frame package, not the whole house.
