Gage documentation
Gage is a marketplace for cold-formed steel framing. Builders bring plans, fabricators price and build them, and partners quote their own customers through the API. These pages explain how each of those works.
Pick the section for who you are. Partners quoting through the API start with Getting started, then keep the API reference open; if you are wiring up an AI assistant, the MCP server page has the connection details. Fabricators start with the Handbook. Builders have one short guide to the project page.
Every page here lives as a markdown file in the Gage repository under content/docs, so if something is wrong or missing, say so and it is a small change.
Partners
Quote, reserve and trigger builds for your own customers through the API.
- Getting started
From requesting access to your first triggered build, in seven steps.
- Connecting a lead system
Turn every lead your site captures into a Gage quote automatically, and get status pushed back.
- Quoting from drawings
Send a PDF plan set or a 3D model and get back the building framed in steel, as a model you can show, plus the quote.
- Quote pages
Send your customer a hosted quote in your brand, and let them accept it without ever seeing Gage.
- MCP server
Price a building in steel and start it with a Gage fabricator from Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. No account needed; partners add their API key.
- Connect with Gage
Let fabricators connect their Gage account to your app with OAuth, read their shop profile, show your account inside Gage, and send them jobs.
API reference
Every endpoint, field and error, with the pricing model behind them.
