Common questions
Do I need an account to submit a project?
No. You submit your project with just your contact info. A project tracking link is emailed to you automatically. No login, no subscription, no credit card.
What if I don't have complete drawings?
You can submit with partial drawings and add the rest later. For a ballpark estimate, just your square footage and building type is enough to get started.
How are fabricators selected for my project?
Gage routes to the nearest Gage-certified fabricator with active machine capacity. Distance, availability, and lead time are all factored. You can see the match and its location before accepting.
Is the quote binding?
The quote is a formal offer from the fabricator. Once you approve it in the portal, it's locked in — the price and lead time are committed on both sides.
Can I use Gage alongside my existing fabricator?
Absolutely. Gage supplements your existing supplier relationships. Use it for overflow, projects in new markets, or when your usual fabricator is at capacity.
What happens if there's no fabricator in my area?
We match to the nearest available location nationally. For most of the continental US, there's a Gage fabricator within 400 miles. We're adding locations weekly.
